How to prepare for your G2 road test in Brampton

A G2 road test is not about making every move look perfect. It is about showing safe, consistent decision-making: observation before action, controlled speed, clear lane position and awareness of everyone around you.

Practice the routine, not a memorized route

Spend practice time on the routines that travel with you: mirror checks, blind-spot checks, smooth braking, complete stops, safe turns and scanning intersections. Routes can vary; good habits should not.

Make your observation visible

Examiners need to see that you are checking mirrors, intersections and blind spots. Keep your head movements natural but clear. Do not stare at mirrors for too long: a quick, regular scan keeps your attention on the road.

Give yourself time

Rushing creates avoidable errors. Leave space, begin braking early and choose a lane before the last second. If a manoeuvre is no longer safe, continue calmly and follow the road rather than forcing it.

Use your lesson for targeted feedback

A focused G2 preparation lesson can identify the few habits that will make the biggest difference before test day. Bring your test date and questions so the practice has a clear purpose.
